"From now on, the family is no longer afraid of big storms."
That is the confession of Mr. Luong Van Thu's mother (Na Sai Village, Hua Pang Commune, Moc Chau District, Son La Province) when the delegation visited and handed over the charity house sponsored by PVI in last June 17.
Located deep in the village, Mr. Luong Van Thu's family consists of 5 people living together and is a poor household with extremely difficult circumstances in Na Sai village. Before the survey, the old house of Mr. Luong Van Thu's family was seriously degraded, the roof was dilapidated, and the walls shook every time there was a strong wind. He and his wife are farmers, their life depends mainly on unstable crops. Whenever there were difficulties, he could only sigh and worry about the future of his whole family, especially the house he was living in that could collapse at any time.
Early that morning, the people of Na Sai village and the entire local government gathered in front of the new house, everyone was excited. In a joyful atmosphere, representatives of the Trade Union, PVI Youth Union and Son La District Youth Union quickly completed the final preparations. The handover ceremony is not only a handover of keys, but also an opportunity for everyone to share, sympathize and connect.
The handover ceremony became more meaningful with words of sharing and encouragement from representatives of PVI's working group. Mr. Phan Truong Thai - Secretary of PVI Youth Union, said: "The 'House of Gratitude' program is one of PVI's practical annual activities to improve the lives of disadvantaged families. This is the result of efforts and contributions of many people, the generosity of colleagues and the enthusiastic coordination of Son La District Youth Union. We hope the new house will bring joy, warmth and a solid fulcrum for Mr. Thu's family."
At the end of the ceremony, everyone sat together, sharing daily stories, good wishes and future plans. A warm atmosphere filled with human love spreads throughout the village.
Building and donating charity houses is an annual activity of the PVI Trade Union - Youth Union and it is belong PVI's sustainable development program. In the coming time, the PVI Trade Union and Youth Union will continue to implement community programs and projects, bringing a better life to especially difficult circumstances.
