Attendants in the Congress include: Mr. Dang Ngoc Tung – Member of Central Committee of Vietnamese Communist Party, President of Vietnam General Confederation of Labour; Mr. Vo Duc Huy - Member of Central Committee of Vietnamese Communist Party, Party Committee secretary of Central Enterprise Organization; Mr. Nguyen Duy Viet – Deputy Director of Central Population Propaganda Board; Labor heroine; Mrs. Cu Thi Hau – Ex-Member of Central Committee of Vietnamese Communist Party, Ex-president of Vietnam General Confederation of Labour; Mr. Dinh La Thang - Member of Central Committee of Vietnamese Communist Party, Chairman of Petrovietnam Group; representatives of Central authorities, veterans of Petrovietnam, Trade-Unions of Provinces and representatives of grassroots trade-unions.

In the past five years, Petrovietnam Trade-union levels have turned the objectives, missions of Third Petrovietnam Trade-union Congress into revolutionary campaigns and actions, patriotic emulation that have a part in successful completion of political missions of the Group; give their mind to building staffs and Trade-Unions strongly that have an important part in stability and development of oil and gas industry. Vietnam oil and gas industry has made great progress in its almost operations with more expansion of production and business scale, high economic effectiveness and high economic growth rate making favorable contribution to national economy, creating jobs and raising employee’s living standard. There has been basic arrangements and necessary preparation for comprehensive development period.

These achievements marked the quick maturity of leaders and employees of oil and gas industry in the modernization and industrialization process, made certainty its key economic industry of the country and oil and gas communities in the region and the world. And it is furthermore an important factor which has direct impact to movement of the staff and activities if Petrovietnam Trade Union.

In the next term, the 4th session Petrovietnam Trade Union will enhance activities of taking care of and protect the legal rights and interests of employees, building the staff with good virtuous characters and consistent political standpoints, excellent professional and technical skills; building stronger trade union, completing production and business excellently and making Petrovietnam be a new acceleration and sustainable development according to the development strategy approved by Prime Minister.

For the sake of Vietnam Oil and Gas industry, the growth of the Group and Trade Union, the 4th session Petrovietnam Trade Union Congress (Term 2008-2013) calls for all youth members and employees to expand upon revolutionary tradition, well-motivated and creative characters; unite, strike to complete the mission put forward by the 4th session Petrovietnam Trade Union Congress in order to implement successful socio-economic and political missions of the Group and the modernization and industrialization process of the country”

The Congress has approved Report of Executive Committee of Petrovietnam Trade Union and goals, directions and mission of the 4th session Petrovietnam Trade Union Congress (Term 2008-2013).

In the Congress, 5 teams and 24 individuals who have excellent working emulation achievements from 2003 to 2007 are awarded Labor Medals; 3 teams has excellent achievements in emulation movement of good labor and strong Trade Union in term of 2003-2008 are awarded Emulation Banner of Vietnam General Confederation of Labour.

The Congress has elected Executive Committee of Petrovietnam Trade Union including 35 comrades and delegations including 4 members attending the tenth Congress of Vietnam Trade Union.
