InsuranceAsia News has announced the results of its Country Awards for Excellence 2026 for the Vietnamese market. With four awards spanning business performance, digital transformation, claims management and corporate leadership, PVI Insurance has once again demonstrated its comprehensive capabilities and increasingly prominent presence on the regional insurance landscape.
The InsuranceAsia News Country Awards for Excellence is an annual awards programme that identifies and recognises outstanding companies in individual insurance markets across the Asia-Pacific region. The programme provides a framework for insurers to benchmark their performance against industry peers, with winners selected through a multi-stage evaluation process conducted by a panel of judges and the InsuranceAsia News editorial team.
PVI Insurance’s achievements in 2026 build on its success at the Country Awards for Excellence 2025. Last year, PVI Insurance was the only non-life insurer in Vietnam to receive three awards simultaneously: Best General Insurer, Best Digital Insurer of the Year and Outstanding Claims Management.

Retaining all three titles for a second consecutive year, while also receiving the Outstanding CEO award in 2026, demonstrates that PVI Insurance’s achievements are not confined to any single area. The recognition spans financial strength, business performance, digital transformation, claims service quality, and corporate governance and leadership.
Among the four categories awarded in 2026, Best General Insurer recognises a non-life insurance company with outstanding financial capacity, business performance, service quality and market standing. PVI Insurance’s continued recognition in this category reflects its solid operational foundation, robust risk management capabilities and ability to adapt amid intensifying competition and the emergence of increasingly complex risks across the insurance market.
Alongside its strong business performance, digital transformation has become one of PVI Insurance’s most distinctive areas of progress. The Best Digital Insurer award recognises the company’s advances in technology adoption, business-process digitalisation, and the development of online distribution and service channels.
By strengthening the use of data, automating selected operational processes and integrating with digital platforms, PVI Insurance has progressively improved operational efficiency, shortened processing times and enhanced convenience for customers. Digital transformation is no longer regarded merely as a supporting tool for business operations, but has increasingly become an integral part of the company’s strategy to improve service quality and competitiveness.
In the area of claims settlement, the Outstanding Claims Management award once again recognises PVI Insurance’s professional and effective claims management capabilities. Claims handling is one of the most important functions in the insurance business, directly demonstrating an insurer’s ability to fulfil its commitments and support customers when losses occur.
PVI Insurance has focused on standardising its claims notification, assessment and settlement procedures; strengthening coordination among relevant business functions; and applying technology to improve the speed, accuracy and transparency of claims handling. These capabilities are particularly important in cases involving large and complex losses, as well as customers operating in industries that require highly specialised insurance expertise.
In addition to the corporate awards, Mr Pham Anh Duc, Chief Executive Officer of PVI Insurance, was named Outstanding CEO. The award recognises his significant contributions to corporate governance, executive leadership and the company’s strategic development.
Under the leadership of its management team, PVI Insurance has continued to strengthen its financial foundation, improve business efficiency, accelerate digital transformation and gradually expand its international presence. The recognition of a senior executive alongside awards for business performance, technology and claims management reflects a broad acknowledgement of PVI Insurance’s strategic direction and operational capabilities.
These latest awards also extend PVI Insurance’s growing record of international achievements in 2026. Previously, on 17 July 2026, UK-based financial publication World Finance announced PVI Insurance as the winner of the Best Non-Life Insurance Company – Vietnam 2026 award at the World Finance Insurance Awards.
The company’s continued recognition by leading international industry organisations reflects PVI Insurance’s consistent commitment to sustainable development, stronger corporate governance, technological innovation and continuous service improvement. These achievements also provide a solid foundation for the company to further align with advanced international standards, enhance its competitiveness and expand its presence across the regional insurance market.
Guided by the philosophy “Think Difference – Act Difference– Make the Difference,” PVI Insurance will continue to innovate, strengthen its internal capabilities and pursue new development milestones, thereby contributing to the growing international standing of Vietnamese insurance brands.
Elsewhere within the PVI system, Hanoi Re, a member company specialising in reinsurance, was also named Best (Re)Insurer at the Country Awards for Excellence – Vietnam 2026. The recognition is particularly meaningful as it coincides with Hanoi Re’s 15th anniversary, further affirming the collective capabilities, market position and achievements of PVI’s member companies across Vietnam’s insurance and reinsurance sectors.
