PVI System Achieves 87% of 2025 Annual Profit Plan in the First 6 Months
On July 22, 2025, at the PVI Tower Headquarters, PVI Holdings successfully held the Mid-Year Business Review Conference for H1/2025 and rolled out the business plan for H2/2025.
The conference was chaired by Mr. Nguyễn Tuấn Tú – Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors (BOD)/CEO of PVI, and Mr. Dương Thanh Danh Francois – Vice Chairman of the BOD of PVI.
Attendees included Mr. Đoàn Linh – Member of the BOD of PVI, Ms. Hà Lan – Head of the Supervisory Board, the Executive Board, Directors of Departments/Centers under the Parent Company, and leaders of subsidiaries in the PVI system including PVI Insurance Corporation, Hanoi Reinsurance Corporation (Hanoi Re), and PVI Asset Management Joint Stock Company.
By the end of the first 6 months of 2025, the entire PVI system exceeded its targets for consolidated revenue and pre-tax profit, achieving 136% and 169% of the plan respectively. Both revenue and profit saw significant growth compared to the same period last year (31.8% and 21.6%). The growth driver primarily came from insurance business activities across the system, especially from PVI Insurance Corporation.
Consolidated revenue for H1 reached VND 15,351 billion, a 31.8% increase year-on-year, fulfilling 71.61% of the annual plan.
Consolidated pre-tax profit was estimated at VND 953 billion, up 21.6% year-on-year, fulfilling 87.39% of the annual plan.
Annualized consolidated ROE reached 18.3%, surpassing the planned 11.3%.
As the core operation, primary insurance revenue reached VND 8,021 billion, up 13.5%, completing 125.4% of the plan.
During the reporting period, AM Best reaffirmed its financial strength rating of A- (Excellent) and issuer credit rating of “a-” (Excellent) for PVI Insurance Corporation.
Reinsurance grew strongly from the beginning of 2025, driven by international market expansion based on safety and efficiency. Reinsurance revenue for H1 reached VND 6,285 billion, fulfilling 156% of the H1 plan and increasing 69.5% compared to the same period last year.
During the period, Hanoi Re was reaffirmed by AM Best with a Financial Strength Rating (FSR) of B++ (Good), Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating (ICR) of “bbb” (Good), and Vietnam National Scale Rating (NSR) of aaa - VN (Excellent), the highest rating in Vietnam.
Investment continued to be a key profit contributor, accounting for over 50% of PVI’s profit structure. Investment and financial revenue for H1 reached VND 685 billion, achieving 120% of the plan and growing 6.6% year-on-year.
